Renee commenced with the school in 2008 and has since than has introduced many new and exciting initiatives. She is supported by the Local Chaplaincy Committee with members from the school staff and supporting church representatives. Chaplaincy is partly funded by friends, supporting churches and the Federal Government.

Since her appointment, Renee has been pro-active and has initiated a number of new programmes for students.

2008 saw Wellington Point State High School raise a record amount for World Vision through the 40 Hour Famine where $3485.90 was sent off whilst 2009 saw in excess of $5000 being raised.

Renee had the opportunity to attend a a number of professional developoment programmes including a grief and loss workshop “Seasons for Growth” to deepen her ability to support students and their families.

Chaplaincy Breakfasts

Wello Pt Chaplaincy holds Chaplaincy Breakfasts for those who do not have breakfast before they come to school. Cluster Camp – Outbreak – September school holidays

This is an opportunity for HIWay leaders to engage with students from Wellington Point High School and support them during the camp. These students can be invited to come to HiWay and maintain the friendships created.
