Don Allen

Don has been married for 41 years, and is proud of 2 adult children and 1 grandson. Now retired, he spent 39 years with the Australian Taxation Office and the last ten years worshiping at APWB. The Allens moved to Birkdale shortly after Don’s retirement and found a welcoming family and an ideal “spiritual home” in a warm and friendly congregation.

A wealth of experience make Don well qualified for his role as Parish Nominator and the wider pastoral and missionary interests he pursues. Since the year 2000 he has been chairman of the Regional Committee for the Queensland / Northern NSW Region of the Bush Church Aid Society and a member of BCA’s National Executive. He has also been a Synod Representative for a number of years for three different churches .

Don is interested in the Pastoral Care of parishioners and others and has been an active member of the music teams at all his churches . He is also interested in the wider mission of Christ’s church and encourages those who have responded to the call to “Go and make disciples of all nations…”
