Praise Points

Give thanks for:

  • a great time at various mine Christmas functions.
We both had an enjoyable time meeting up with old acquaintances and getting to know new people. We feel really accepted by the miners to have even been invited to attend so many different functions.

  • great encouragement from the people at St Barbara’s.
At times Peter has found it very hard to prepare sermons each week and do the pastoral care that the Parish council couldn’t do, but we have been so encouraged by the enthusiasm of the Parish and their commitment to God’s kingdom.

Prayer Points

Please pray for:

  • safety in all our travel.

  • a refreshing time with Sarah and Joshua and our extended families.
  • new ministers for the Catacomb Church and St Barbara’s.
Please pray for Mark and Sandy Evans in Coober Pedy during the extremely hot weather and give thanks for the rest this gives the congregation while so many people are away. Please pray for the locums who are taking the services each week at St Barbara’s and for the selection committee as they meet with the Archbishop at the end of January.
  • a safe delivery of Luke and Adele’s baby towards the end of the month.
Give thanks that Adele has been able to carry this baby almost to term. Please pray they will both have some rest after a hectic, stressful year at school before the baby arrives.

With love from Peter and Joy Palmer.
